Defending champion Vince Spadea and third seed Mario Ancic will face off Saturday in the semifinals of the Tennis Channel Open hard court tournament in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Spadea knocked off fellow American James Blake Friday in straight sets 7-6, 6-1. The second seed has beaten Blake five straight times.
Ancic of Croatia cruised into the round of four by dismissing Ecuador's Giovanni Lapentti 6-1, 6-4.
Unseeded players Christophe Rochus of Belgium and Wayne Arthurs of Australia will play in Saturday's other semifinal match.
