In 2009, Spirit, one of NASA's two Mars Rovers launched by NASA, got stuck in the sand. While it did good work from its sand trap for almost another year before its demise, Spirit's twin is still rolling around, taking notes on the Red Planet. More recently the Rover Curiosity had to take a detour to avoid some shifting sand. As VOA's Rosanne Skirble reports, inspiration from Mother Nature is helping to engineer a fix.
