Concert promoter Live Nation has announced the cancellation of Kanye West and Lady GaGa's "Fame Kills" tour. Plans for the outing were announced just two weeks ago and tickets have been on sale for one week. Live Nation didn't give a reason for the cancellation, but said refunds would be given to ticket holders. The tour was scheduled to begin on November 10 in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Backstreet Boys' new album, This Is Us, will be released on October 6. Last month, the group launched its world tour in support of the album. Their 26 European dates begin on October 30 in Portugal and wrap up on December 6 in Denmark. North American shows are being planned for 2010.<!-- IMAGE -->
The New York City medical examiner's office has ruled that Adam Goldstein died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs and cocaine. The 36-year-old celebrity, better known as DJ AM, had OxyContin, Hyrocodone, Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin, Benadryl and Levamisole in his system. While the dosage of each was not released, the medical examiner said the cause of death was "acute intoxication" brought on by the combined effects of the drugs. DJ AM had reportedly been sober for 11 years prior to his death.

Other winners included Dan Tyminski, who was named Male Vocalist of the Year and also went home with the Album of the Year trophy for Wheels; Dale Ann Bradley, who took home her third consecutive Female Vocalist of the Year award; Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper, named Instrumental Group of the Year; and The Steeldrivers, who received this year's Emerging Artist of the Year.
On October 9, hip-hop star Jay-Z will kick off a 23-city North American tour in University Park, Pennsylvania. He'll be supporting his Number One album, The Blueprint 3. Its debut single, "Run This Town," featuring Rihanna and Kanye West, reached Number One on the U.K. chart and the U.S. rap chart.
The Who's Roger Daltrey will begin a North American tour on October 10th in Vancouver, British Columbia. The "Use It Or Lose It" tour marks his first solo outing since 1985. 65-year-old Daltrey will visit 29 cities before wrapping up the trek in Clearwater, Florida on November 30. In a recent interview, Daltrey said he's doing the tour to keep his voice in shape for any future performances with The Who.

Black Eyed Peas continue their reign at the top of Billboard's Hot 100
chart this week. It's the group's 14th week at Number One with "I
Gotta Feeling." Preceding this hit, the Black Eyed Peas had a 12-week
run at the top of the chart with "Boom Boom Pow." Only one other act
has spent more weeks at Number One in a single year in the 51-year
history of the Hot 100. In 2004, Usher held the top spot for 28
nonconsecutive weeks with four different songs from his Confessions
album.
