Listeners await the arrival of Tuesday and Thursday mornings to hear fresh, sizzling hot debates between opposing camps, slugging it out over one controversial issue or another. Each week, two debaters are brought together to state their strong positions for and against the issue of the moment. Just before the main debate begins, common people on the streets give their own perspectives on the issue in 30-second segments. The program, created since June 2005, was honored with an award by a Nigeria-based non-governmental organization in 2006. TMW is the only Hausa program that airs fresh episodes twice a week, with no repeats.
