Mark Snowiss is a Washington D.C.-based multimedia reporter. He has written and edited for various media outlets including Pacifica and NPR affiliates in Los Angeles.
Prior to joining VOA, Snowiss spent four years in the Balkans with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and other aid agencies working to rebuild post-war Bosnia. His regional experience includes nine years in Hungary and other East European countries before, during and after the 1989 revolutions swept communist governments from power.
