Violence and Retribution Condemned after Dallas Police Shootings

U.S. President Barack Obama condemned violence as a means to effect change after the shooting deaths of five police officers in Dallas, Texas. VOA’s Michael Bowman reports, while tensions between minority communities and law enforcement are not new, the slaughter of police officers has shocked the nation and further complicated an already-thorny dialogue about public safety in America.
