Iraqi officials say bomb and gun attacks in the capital, Baghdad, and in the west have killed at least four people and wounded eight others.
Police said a car bomb exploded Monday in Anbar province, about 50 kilometers west of Baghdad, killing two people and wounding four others.
In the western city of Haditha, authorities say a suicide bomber attacked a government building, wounding one police officer.
An interior ministry official said a roadside bomb killed one police officer and wounded two others in Baghdad's Mansour neighborhood. A suicide bomber in the city's Bab al-Muadham district wounded one person.
Authorities also said gunmen shot dead a Kurdish politician in the northern province of Diyala.
