Political Instability in Albania Mounts Ahead of Elections, EU Decision

Albania will learn in June whether the European Union will move forward with accession talks to admit the Balkan nation as a member. Albania will also hold local elections in June — possibly without the main opposition party taking part. As these two events draw near, political instability is mounting.
