October's Strong Job Gains Boost Odds for Rate Hike
U.S. job growth surged in October. The U.S. Labor Department says the economy added 271,000 jobs last month and unemployment fell to a seven-and-a-half-year low of five percent. That’s good news for millions of unemployed Americans. But as Mil Arcega reports, it also means the days of record low interest rates may be coming to an end.
