Obama: Mansoor Rejected Peace Efforts in Afghanistan

U.S. President Barack Obama confirmed the death of Afghan Taliban chief Mullah Akhtar Mansoor during a joint news conference with Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang Monday in Hanoi. Obama said the killing of Mansoor "removed the leader of an organization that has continued to plot against and unleash attacks on American and coalition forces."
