Malaysian opposition leader Mahathir Mohamad says his alliance has captured enough parliamentary seats in Wednesday's election to form the next government, unseating a coalition that has ruled since independence in 1957. The result, if confirmed by the election commission, would cap a contentious campaign in which Prime Minister Najib Razak's long-ruling Barisan Nasional coalition found itself unexpectedly fighting for its political life.
