Some Latin American governments are acting on concerns about the toll of Palestinian civilian deaths in the Israel-Hamas conflict. For the second time in less than 20 years, Bolivia has severed diplomatic relations with Israel, while Colombia and Chile have recalled their ambassadors in Israel, with more countries calling for a cease-fire.
