International Program Provides Career Path for NY Teens
Youth unemployment is a serious problem in many countries around the world. In the U.S., the latest figures put youth unemployment at just over 13 percent in July, far above the national average of just over six percent. But with the help of an international program called the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), at-risk, low income people are learning how to create their own jobs. VOA’s Bernard Shusman reports from Brooklyn on the New York City program.
