‘India’s Daughter’ Rape Film Premieres in US as Indian Protests Continue
The documentary film "India’s Daughter," about the brutal rape and murder of 23-year-old Jyoti Singh in Delhi in 2012, held its U.S. premiere in New York this week. India has banned the documentary, which details how five men and one juvenile gang-raped the medical student on a bus and left her for dead after she left a movie theater with a male friend. Millions have watched the film online and it is being broadcast across the world. More from Henry Ridgwell in London.
