The Democratic Party made it official Tuesday, naming Hillary Clinton their candidate for president in 2016 – and making history by selecting the first woman to represent a major U.S. political party. Following the roll call vote, Tuesday's speakers included former President Bill Clinton as well as the Mothers of the Movement -- the mothers of Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, Michael Brown, Sandra Bland and other young black victims of violence.

In the shortest speech, North Dakota casts 14 votes for Sanders and seven votes for Clinton.

The Northern Mariana Islands, most delegates dressed in flowers and greenery, casts nine votes for Clinton and two votes for Sanders.

Ohio, a battleground state in nearly every election and where the Republican National Convention was held last week, casts 98 votes for Hillary Clinton and 62 votes for Bernie Sanders.
