LIVE BLOG: Clinton Becomes First Woman Nominated for President

The Democratic Party made it official Tuesday, naming Hillary Clinton their candidate for president in 2016 – and making history by selecting the first woman to represent a major U.S. political party. Following the roll call vote, Tuesday's speakers included former President Bill Clinton as well as the Mothers of the Movement -- the mothers of Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, Michael Brown, Sandra Bland and other young black victims of violence.

Nevada casts 20 votes for Clinton and 16 votes for Sanders.

Roll call vote tally so far:

Hillary Clinton: 1566

Bernie Sanders: 1010

Needed to win: 2382

New Hampshire -- home to the town of Unity, where Hillary Clinton endorsed Barack Obama in 2008, and Portsmouth, where Bernie Sanders endorsed Hillary Clinton in 2016 -- casts 16 votes for Clinton and 16 votes for Sanders.

New Jersey casts 90 votes for Hillary Clinton and 45 votes for Bernie Sanders.
