In introducing the vice president, she says Joe Biden believes, as she does, that education is the great equalizer in life.

Introducing the vice president is his wife, Jill Biden, a 30-year educator who teaches English at a community college in northern Virginia. In a commencement address in May, she told NOVA students: “Too many hardworking Americans still have to worry about whether college is affordable. For millions of people across the country, community college is the single best path to opportunity — to achieving their dreams — whether that means earning a four-year degree or finding a rewarding career.”
