Before Nina Pham, the Dallas-based health worker who is infected with the Ebola virus, was transferred from Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital to the National Institutes of Health in Maryland, she was visited by her physician Gary Weinstein. He recorded his conversation with her before she left Dallas Thursday night.
Pham was among the team of health care professionals that cared for Liberian Thomas Eric Duncan, who was the first person to die of Ebola in the United States.
A second nurse on the same team, Amber Vinson, has also contracted Ebola. Vinson has been flown to Georgia and admitted to Atlanta's Emory University, where two others have been successfully treated for Ebola. A third is still receiving care.
