Every November, on the fourth Thursday of the month, Americans gather together for a Thanksgiving feast with family and friends to give thanks for the blessings in their lives. This year, in the wake of recent terrorist attacks in Paris, the mood of people in Washington was predominantly one of reflection and appreciation.
