Areas of the Italian city of Venice are still underwater Tuesday following Monday's heavy rains and strong winds.
Tuesday's tidal surge peaked at just over one meter, flooding the city's landmark Saint Mark's Square and other low-lying areas.
On Monday, the tidal surge reached 1.5 meters, which was the city's worst flooding in more than 20 years.
A number of Croatian towns and ports along the Adriatic were also flooded Monday.
