Will Smith to Release New Album; U2 Kicks Off Tour


March 29, Interscope Records will release Will Smith's first album in three years. Lost and Found includes guest appearances by Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg and Timbaland. Smith reportedly recorded more than 50 songs before choosing the final 14 tracks for his ninth album. He says it features "the most in-depth, revealing writing that I've done in my career." The first single from Lost and Found is a cut called Switch.

British pop singer Seal and his fiance, 31-year-old supermodel Heidi Klum, are expecting their first child. Klum also has a 10-month-old daughter, Leni, whose father is 54-year-old Italian businessman Flavio Briatore. Seal and Heidi's romance began shortly before Leni's birth. The couple recently purchased a multi-million-dollar estate in Los Angeles. Seal will begin a 12-date European tour on April 6. He'll be promoting his latest CD, Seal IV, in Germany, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Austria, Portugal, Hungary and the Slovak Republic. U.S. concerts are scheduled to begin on May 20.

1980s rock group Journey has begun recording its 13th album in a California studio. The release will mark the band's first full album since 2001's Arrival. Journey's lineup includes guitarist Neal Schon, keyboardist Jonathan Cain, bassist Ross Valory, lead singer Steve Augeri and drummer Deen Castronovo. Kevin Elson, who produced Journey's multi-million-selling albums Escape, Departure and Frontiers, will produce the new collection, which is due out this summer. Journey is planning a major tour in support of the release.

On March 29, Curb Records will release The Bellamy Brothers new album, Angels & Outlaws, Volume 1. The CD features new versions of 13 of the duo's hits spanning the past three decades. Many Country superstars appear on the project. They include Alan Jackson, George Jones, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson and Montgomery Gentry. It's been 30 years since the release of the Bellamy Brothers' Number One hit "Let Your Love Flow." Their new version of the song may be released as the album's first single.

LOOK WHO'S GOING ON TOUR!

U2 will kick off its world tour in San Diego, California on March 28. The outing will support the Irish rock band's latest album How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb. After wrapping up U.S. and Canadian dates on May 28, U2 will head to Europe on June 10 to perform 30 shows. The group's second round of North American concerts will begin on September 12 in Toronto. U2 was inducted into the Rock and Roll of Fame on March 14.

On March 30, first season American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson will begin a 34-city North American tour in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The outing marks her first solo headlining tour. Clarkson's debut album Thankful and her 2004 followup Breakaway have both sold more than one million copies in the United States.

Just back from performing shows throughout Asia and Australia, Sting is set to begin the U.S. leg of his "Broken Music" tour on April 1 in San Jose, California. The trek will make stops at dozens of college campuses, plus at venues in cities he missed on his 2004 "Sacred Love" tour. This time, Sting will scale down his band to only three other members, guitarists Dominic Miller and Shane Fontayne and drummer Josh Freese.
