Human rights group Amnesty International has condemned Haiti for alleged police brutality.
The London-based group issued a report Thursday accusing police of serious human rights violations, including illegal detentions, abuse of detainees and summary executions.
The report urged Haiti's interim government and United Nations peacekeepers to investigate the charges.
The allegations against Haitian police officers come amid continuing violence in the Caribbean country.
Since late September, at least 75 people have been killed in violence in Haiti's capital, Port-au-Prince, between supporters and opponents of former Haitian president Jean-Bertrand Aristide. The ousted president has been in exile in South Africa since February, when he fled a bloody revolt in Haiti.
Wednesday, the 15-nation Caribbean Community (Caricom) condemned human rights conditions in Haiti.
