Global Efforts to Secure a Humanitarian Corridor to Gaza

The international community moves to open a maritime humanitarian corridor to Gaza. When open, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken says it would enable the distribution of 2 million meals a day. The Syrian civil war has faded from the headlines but is far from over. On the thirteenth anniversary of the war, rebel militaries and families on the front lines say battles there are intensifying, and increasingly deadly. Police in Nigeria have ordered the creation of a new base for officers and the deployment of special forces in a remote village in northwest Kaduna state, where nearly 300 school students were abducted by armed bandits last Thursday.
