American Nonprofit Helps Homeless, One Person at a Time
update
- By Julie Taboh
On a single night in 2017, nearly 554,000 people were homeless in the United States. While the U.S. tries to end homelessness, a nonprofit in northern Virginia is making a difference, one person at a time. The organization provides housing assistance, food and much more to people in need, helping to reduce the number of homeless in its immediate area. VOA's Julie Taboh explores the issue through the voices of those whose lives have been transformed and the people who helped make it happen.
