Young Afghans Launch Awareness Campaign Against the Traditional Burqa
update
Young Afghans have launched an awareness campaign called "Sun Behind Curtain," aimed at overturning the customary use of the burqa. Also called a "chadari," the garment typically covers women from head to toe and has become a favorite piece of clothing for suicide bombers, who disguise themselves as women to launch terror attacks. Afghan VOA reporter Khalil Noorzai visited a photo exhibition in the city of Herat and filed this report narrated by Bezhan Hamdard.
