US to Review Refugee Numbers, Resettlement Process

The Obama administration would like to further increase the number of Syrian refugees that it resettles in the United States, says the State Department. But U.S. officials are balancing the desire to resettle more Syrians with the need to conduct thorough background checks on those considered for admission.
