US Military Surveying Installations to Potentially Hold Guantanamo Detainees
A U.S. defense spokesman says the department has begun surveying two military installations in the United States as potential places to hold detainees currently imprisoned at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Surveyors started work at Leavenworth, Kansas on Thursday, and plan to start surveying an installation in Charleston, South Carolina soon. VOA Pentagon correspondent Carla Babb reports.
