Almost one year ago, U.S. warplanes took to the skies over Iraq to carry out the first airstrikes against the terror group known as the Islamic State. Since then, the U.S. has raised the stakes – with Islamic State leaders responding, leaving the world to wonder who, if anyone, is winning. VOA’s National Security Correspondent Jeff Seldin has more.
