NASA’s Magnetic Mission Studies Space Weather

Four identical spacecraft aboard an Atlas V rocket lit up the sky Thursday March 12 as they were launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. As VOA’s Rosanne Skirble reports, the observatories will study the powerful magnetic fields that surround our planet, damaging satellites in space and affecting power grids and communications networks on Earth.
