Chinese Border City Enables Sanctions Evasion, Report Claims
A new report shows how the Chinese border town of Dandong continues to provide a vital lifeline for the North Korean economy – despite United Nations sanctions that have been in place since Pyongyang conducted a nuclear missile test three years ago. The report authors say businesses based in Dandong are trading in goods that could be used for Pyongyang’s nuclear and missile programs. Henry Ridgwell reports. VOA Khmer's Vathana Soeurn narrates.
