Cambodian Fishermen Hanging Up Nets as Laos Presses Ahead with Another Dam
The government of Laos recently decided to proceed with a third dam across the Mekong, this time at Pak Beng in the country's north, for $1.88 billion, as part of a broader strategy to sell electricity into neighboring countries, especially China. But the megaprojects are causing problems for fishermen downstream. Luke Hunt reports.
