Cambodian Senator Gets 7-Year Sentence for Facebook Post
The Phnom Penh Municipal Court yesterday sentenced a former opposition senator to seven years in jail for forging a public document after he posted on Facebook last year a section of a 1979 Cambodia-Vietnam border treaty, which the government deemed fake and which claimed the two nations had agreed to dissolve their mutual border.
