Thai King, World's Longest Reigning Monarch, Dies at 88
The world's longest reigning monarch, Thailand's King Bhumibol Adulyadej, has died at the age of 88. During his 70-year reign, the king was a symbol of unity, stability, and tradition. But the monarchy's moral authority was also co-opted by politicians and the military to attack opponents. VOA's Daniel Schearf reports on the life of one of Asia's most influential leaders.
