US Senate Committee Approves Trade Promotion Authority Bill
United States officials are working toward separate trade agreements with the European Union and Japan. At the same time, Congress is considering trade promotion authority that would require a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ vote on trade agreements. The legislation would leave trade negotiations to the president. Not everyone thinks that is a good idea.
