Cambodian Journalist Awarded for Courage

The International Women’s Media Foundation has honored Phorn Bopha, a reporter for the English-language The Cambodia Daily, with the 2013 Courage in Journalism Award. Bopha has reported extensively on corruption, deforestation, and child trafficking, upsetting government officials and business people in Cambodia. Bopha says she will not stop facing challenges because journalism is part of her life and she uses it to make significant contribution to her community. VOA’s Men Kimseng spoke to Phorn Bopha after she received the Courage Award in a ceremony in New York.
