College Students Spark Creativity in Kids
Research shows that hands-on learning helps children better understand abstract concepts and boosts educational achievement. But as schools cut their budgets, the hands-on learning experience is often one of the first things to go. A group of college students wants to do something about it. They have set out on a cross country road trip with some cool tools, sparking creativity in kids. VOA’s June Soh caught up with them during a recent stop in Washington. Carol Pearson narrates.
