Key Burma Port Struggles To Overcome Financial Hurdles, Local
Burma and Thailand plan to build a deep sea port and the largest industrial zone in Southeast Asia on Burma’s southern coast. The multi-billion dollar Dawei project’s road link to Thailand could dramatically boost trade between the two nations. But even before its start, the project has run into financial difficulties and local opposition. VOA's Daniel Schearf reports from Bangkok.
