Leukemia Research Shows Promise
Bio-medical researchers fear budget cuts due to the U.S. government's sequestration will hit their community hard. Much of the money for health research comes from the government funded National Institutes of Health. But private foundations also play a vital role, and as VOA’s Rebecca Ward reports, helped fund recent breakthroughs in treating Leukemia.
