Beijing Record Pollution
China has the world’s second-largest economy after the US, but it is the number 1 emitter of greenhouse gases. In January, its capital city Beijing broke an air pollution record, reaching 40 times the limits recommended by the World Health Organization. Fred Wang from VOA’s Mandarin service reports from Beijing.
