Washington, DC, Known for Authentic Ethiopian Food
The Ethiopian community is thriving in the Washington, D.C. area, with the largest number of Ethiopians outside of east Africa. The nation’s embassy estimates about 200,000 people of Ethiopian descent live in the region. And, just as in any city with a large immigrant population, many have opened restaurants offering traditional fare to their countrymen and their new neighbors.
