The Biden administration is granting temporary legal status to hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans who are already in the United States as it grapples with growing numbers of migrants at the U.S. border with Mexico. An estimated 472,000 Venezuelans have arrived in the U.S. as of July 31, 2023.
