[English with Yoo] Head in

안녕하세요 English with Yoo! 의 Jennifer Yoo입니다. English with Yoo!
I’ll give you a daily introduction to some meaningful and useful everyday English words and phrases! So let’s get started today!
Head in // we’re actually about to head in

A couple of my friends were there.

My friend’s name is Gene Kim. He is a Korean-American who grew up in Southern California, where I’m originally from. Most of his life he was not politically engaged, but over time, he went to college at UC Berkley, came out to Washington DC to learn more about how everything worked, and over the course of the last five year, he became more politically active. He is now the Executive Director of CAPAC (Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus). He shared with me a little bit of his experience there at the DNC.
Listen carefully!

Head in // We’re actually about to head in
Jen: Gene! How are you?
Gene: I’m doing well. Very exciting week!
Jen: I know right? So you’re in Charlotte, What is it like being there and have you ever been to a Democratic convention before?
Gene: This is my first ever political convention and I think it’s one of my most amazing experiences I’ve ever had.
Jen: Tonight is going to be exciting, even more exciting right?
Gene: It is! We’re actually about to head in shortly to grab ourselves a seat, so I’m very excited and looking forward to the evening!
Jen: Well, have fun. Take a lot of picture and can’t wait to hear more from you when you come back!
Gene: Sounds great! Looking forward to it! Take care!
Jen: Have a good time! Bye!

We’re actually about to head in우리는 지금 막 들어가려고 해I’m very excited and looking forward to the evening!’

Head in // we’re actually about to head in이죠?

그래서 ‘we’re actually about to head in’ 이라고하면 ‘우리는 지금 막 들어가려고 해’라는 뜻이죠?

Gene (진)는… head in // We’re actually about to head in shortly to grab ourselves a seat, so I’m very excited and looking forward to the evening!라고 했습니다 head in / We’re actually about to head in.

Try to pick out the phrase we are learning today ‘head in’, listen carefully.
