오늘의 영어 표현은: So many opportunities

Opportunities…hmm when I think of that word, opportunity, 저는 ‘opportunity’이란 단어를 생각하때면 I am reminded of how many people view the United States as the ‘land of opportunity’ 많은 사람들이 미국을 기회의 땅 으로 여기는게 떠오릅니다…a land of opportunity because it presents people with numerous life options. There are so many opportunities here in America! 미국에서 오래산 제가봐도 미국은 역시 기회의 땅이라는 생각이 들어요….

Students in America get really excited as school is about to begin this week! Why? Because they know that schools provide so many opportunities to enhance their knowledge in so many different ways.

미국 학생들은 새학기가 시작대면 무척 들뜹니다…왜냐하면요 미국 학교에서는 다양한 공부를 할 수있는 기회가 많거든요…

Colleges here in America makes classroom experiences more creative and teachers encourage students to devote time outside the classroom to educationally purposeful activities.

미국대학 교수님들은 학생들이 창의적이 되도록 도와주고요…교실을 떠나서 여러가지 교육적인 목적에 활동들을 할수있게 해줍니다….

Well let’s hear why Erin is excited to study in America!

오늘의 영어 표현인 so many opportunities가 어떻게 쓰이는 지 알아보기 전에 제Erin과 함께 대화한 것을 먼저 들려드릴게요?

So many opportunities

Jen: What do you think is the most exciting thing about going to school in America?
Erin: You have so many opportunities of different choices of what you could do. And if you really like doing something, you can find somewhere to do it.
Jen: And as a freshman, you are excited for that?
Erin: Yes, I mean anything you want to do, you can do here.

제가 애론에게, “미국에서 공부하는게 왜 좋아요?” 라고 물어봤더니... You have so many opportunities of different choices of what you could do. ‘정말 하고 싶은공부를 마음껏 할수있고요 게다가 various activities 다양한 활동을 할수있으니까요’ 라고 대답하더라고요. Anything you want to do, you can do here!라고 했죠?


오늘의 영어 표현은: So many opportunities…이죠?

Opportunity / O P P O R T U N I T Y, opportunity는 ‘기회’라는 뜻입니다.

그래서 ‘So many’아주 많은 ‘opportunities’기회, so many opportunities 하면, 아주 많은 기회 라는뜻이죠?

Erin, 애론은You have so many opportunities of different choices of what you could do 라고 했습니다…you have so many opportunities…

Jen: What do you think is the most exciting thing about going to school in America?
Erin: You have so many opportunities of different choices of what you could do. And if you really like doing something, you can find somewhere to do it.
