Digital connectivity dominates the discussion on the second day of the World Economic Forum on ASEAN 2017 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. ASEAN is one of the world’s regions that have the fastest-growing Internet population thanks to its young population, with more than 124,000 new Internet users joining every day. Speaking at the second day of the regional forum, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen says Cambodia is also preparing to engage with its ASEAN counterparts on the Fourth Industrial Revolution, referring to the social transformation brought about by modern digital technology. Cambodia’s capital city for the first time became host to the World Economic Forum, which kicked off Wednesday, May 10, and has attracted more than 700 economic experts, private investors, researchers from 40 countries to attend the three-day forum.
