Former NBA star Lamar Odom has been moved to a Los Angeles hospital for more treatment sources say.
Hospitalized in Nevada for nearly a week after collapsing in a brothel where officials said he had used cocaine, Odom was reportedly discharged on Monday.
Odom, 35, was flown by helicopter from the Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas accompanied by his wife, reality television personality Khloe Kardashian, the celebrity news website E! News reported, citing unidentified sources.
The Associated Press reported that brothel employees saw the basketball star drink alcoholic beverages and consume "herbal viagra" supplements.
E! Online reported that the two-time NBA champion remained on dialysis because of a kidney problem but had passed a swallowing test and was able to breathe on his own. E! also said Odom was able to communicate with family members by using hand signals.
"Each day Lamar is getting stronger and reaching significant milestones in his recovery," a statement from Odom's aunt JaNean Mercer said Monday. "We are committed to remaining by his side as a family for our champion, who we love immensely."
Dennis Hof, owner of The Love Ranch, told reporters Odom had been staying at the brothel since October 10 and had spent $75,000 on a VIP suite.
