Ignatius Annor
Ignatius Annor is a multimedia journalist with the VOA’s English to Africa Service, based in Washington D.C. He’s passionate about covering human interest stories and regularly interviews subject matter experts and analysts around the world on a wide range of topics — politics, security, economy and finance as well as social issues.
Originally from Ghana, Annor began his career in the capital Accra as an anchor, reporter and producer. After working with some radio stations in the country, he worked for the Accra-based Metro TV station in 2011. Annor regularly appears on VOA English to Africa’s flagship TV program “Straight Talk Africa” and files live reports for the service’s weekly news program “Africa 54.”
Annor has a master’s degree in international journalism from Swansea University in the United Kingdom. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and majored in business at Jayee University College in Ghana.
