Abby Sun

Abby Sun is a multimedia journalist and associate producer of “Our Voices.” With three years of experience reporting on U.S.-China Trade, conducting high-profile interviews, and anchoring VOA’s “Eye On America” TV show at Mandarin Service. Her coverage includes the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election and Inauguration, U.S. Governors Association Annual Meetings, Annual and Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Group, and field stories on trade. Abby joined VOA's Africa Division in September 2018 bringing in video producing and TV production expertise.

Prior to VOA, Abby worked as a communication and social media assistant at The Brookings Institution China Center. She helped the team build the Center’s social media presence from the scratch and tripled twitter followers in five months by designing online outreach strategies and utilizing social media tools. She believes visual art has its distinct character to bring people together.

Originally, from Beijing, China, Abby holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from University of Oregon, and a Master’s degree in Broadcasting Journalism with Business concentration from Northwestern University.
