VOA Persian: Dollar hits 85,000 tomans after Trump executive order on Iran

Following an executive order from U.S. President Donald Trump to reinstate sanctions and ramp up maximum pressure on Iran, the Iranian currency has plunged once again. The exchange rate for one U.S. dollar in Iran's free market has surged past 85,000 tomans, marking a historic high.
