U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday that Taiwan had taken semiconductor chip business away from the United States and he wanted it back. A day before, Taiwan semiconductor manufacturer TSMC held its first board meeting in the U.S. Analysts suggest that the world's largest contract chip maker may plan on advancing its chip production in the U.S. or building another foundry there.
