A financial crisis has led to a rise in the poverty rate in the Kurdistan Region in recent years. According to the latest survey, any individual in the Kurdistan Region with a monthly income of less than 137,000 Iraqi dinars (about $100) falls below the poverty line. Economic experts suggest that the government should address this issue by implementing effective tax and fee policies.
